Praveen Deshmukh, MD, is an assistant professor (CHS) in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois in Peoria. Dr. Deshmukh diagnoses and treats brain tumors, carotid disease, cervical disc disease, lumbar disc disease, lumbar spine stenosis/spondylolisthesis and spinal tumors (primary and secondary). He provides peripheral nerve surgery (carpal tunnel/ulnar nerve procedures), endarterectomies and spine surgery including minimally invasive spine surgery, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, artificial cervical disc and artificial lumbar disc.
