Bruce P. Hermann, PhD, is Professor of Neurology and Director of the Charles Matthews Neuropsychology Lab at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. His medical interests include memory disorders, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementing disorders and their preclinical identification. Dr. Hermann’s teaching interests consist of clinical neuropsychological training of post-doctoral fellows, graduated students and residents.

Dr. Hermann’s funded research includes the nature and progression of abnormalities in cognition, behavior and brain structure in adults and children with epilepsy; preclinical identification of risk factors for progressive neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease; neurocognitive aging in elders with epilepsy; and neurocognitive effects of radiotherapy for cerebral tumors. |
