Dr. Julian completed his medical degree and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of
Minnesota School of Medicine. For six years he served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota as
Director of the Division of Gynecology. In 1988, Dr. Julian became Director of the Gynecology Division at
the University of Wisconsin. The focus of his practice is pelvic reconstructive surgery, urogynecology, and
medically complicated gynecologic consultation. Dr. Julian has published more than one hundred papers in
obstetrics and gynecology, given more than one hundred national and international presentations, and
been a visiting professor in many institutions in the United States as well as Europe, South America, and
Asia. He has served on many boards of directors and is an active member of several obstetrics and
gynecology organizations. Dr. Julian has received numerous awards for medical teaching, writing, practice
and service.
