Scott Reeder MD, PhD recently joined the UW faculty as an assistant professor in the department of Radiology as the Associate Chief of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. He comes from Stanford University where he completed his radiology residency in diagnostic imaging and a fellowship in cardiovascular and abdominal imaging. Previously, he completed medical school at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, where he also received his Masters and PhD in Biomedical engineering. He is originally from Canada where he received his BScE in Engineering Physics at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Dr. Reeder’s research interests are in the areas of cardiovascular and abdominal MRI, particular in the development of rapid and quantitative imaging techniques, including rapid cardiac imaging methods, and novel fat-water separation techniques. More recent areas of interest include molecular imaging and MRI.
